Businessman-turned-actor Legend Saravanan has shared his two cents on the massive landslide victory Vijay has seen in the recent Tamil Nadu State Assembly elections. The Leader actor spoke about the current political happenings while addressing the press in Kumbakonam.

Saravanan was first asked how he saw the election results. "What we are witnessing today, however, is a powerful shift driven by the youth—a movement that began as far back as the Jallikattu protests and has now translated into electoral change," he said.

Furthermore, Saravanan was clear that the people have a few expectations for Vijay to satisfy. "The people of Tamil Nadu have come together with a shared expectation: a governance that is free from corruption, one that creates meaningful employment opportunities, and one that allows citizens to retain the fruits of their hard work rather than lose them to excessive taxation."

Sarvanan, when asked about MK Stalin's loss in Kolathur, then said that neither victory nor loss is permanent. "It is important to remember that in politics, victory and defeat are both temporary. Such outcomes are a natural part of the democratic process. What we are seeing now may feel like a revolution, but like all political waves, it is subject to change over time. Every leader, at some point, has faced both triumphs and setbacks—neither is permanent."

Saravanan then extended his wishes for Vijay, saying, "I extend my heartfelt congratulations to Vijay for earning the trust of the people. The mandate he has received comes with immense responsibility. It is now up to him to meet the expectations placed upon him and deliver on the promises made." Lastly, when he was asked about his own interest in entering politics, he said, "Only time will tell whether I will step into politics."

Founder of The Legend New Saravana Stores, Saravanan made his debut with Legend, helmed by JD-Jerry, in 2022. He recently starred in Leader, helmed by RS Durai Senthilkumar, alongside Payal Rajput and Shaam, among others. The film, which hit theatres on April 3, is having an extended theatrical run and a delayed OTT release.
