Meghana Raj meets Rajinikanth, fulfils late spouse Chiranjeevi Sarja's dream

Meghana's tribute to her husband on their wedding anniversary is winning the hearts of her and the Superstar's fans online

In November last year, we reported about actor Meghana Raj Sarja joining Rajinikanth in Jailer 2, the upcoming film directed by Nelson. Earlier this Satruday, the actor paid a tribute to her late spouse Chiranjeevi Sarja on their wedding anniversary.

Taking to Instagram, she wrote, "This anniversary is not just a date, Chiru… it’s a feeling. The day we decided that your dreams and mine would no longer be separate—that we are one. I feel you in every step I take… like you’re closer to God, yet even closer to me—living through me, becoming me in ways words can’t explain."

Meghana Raj also revealed that her late husband was a fan of Rajinikanth. Referring to Chiranjeevi Sarja, the actor wrote, "You worshipped him! And you made me meet the god of Indian cinema in a way i didn’t even dream of! A film with the ONE AND ONLY, RAJINI SIR! We did it!"

The actor also shared stills featuring her and her son with Rajinikanth and a video where the Superstar be seen putting his signature on a statue of his character from Baashha that belonged to Chiranjeevi Sarja. Meghana also dedicated the film, a sequel to 2023's Jailer, to her husband. "Today, I hope I’ve brought alive what we once dreamed together. Because this success, this milestone, this film… belongs to you. Happy Anniversary, my Babyma," the actor added. Meghana's tribute to her husband is winning the hearts of her and the Superstar's fans on the internet.

Jailer 2 marks a comeback to Tamil cinema for the actor, known in the state for her performances in films such as 2010's Kaadhal Solla Vandhen and 2011's Uyarthiru 420. She is also set to make a return to Malayalam cinema with a role opposite Suresh Gopi in the long-delayed Ottakomban.
