The comedy drama Youth continued its steady run at the box office, registering its highest single-day collection yet on Day 4. The film earned Rs 5.50 crore (net) on its first Sunday, taking its total India net collections to Rs 17.50 crore.

With this, the film’s India gross stands at Rs 20.08 crore after four days in theatres. Overseas, Youth has brought in an additional Rs 3.60 crore, pushing its total worldwide gross to Rs 23.68 crore.

Directed by and starring Ken Karunaas, the film has shown a consistent upward trend over the weekend. After opening to Rs 3.60 crore on Day 1, collections saw a slight dip on Day 2 with Rs 3.50 crore. However, the film picked up momentum on Day 3, earning around Rs 4.90 crore, before peaking on Sunday.

The growth is also reflected in theatre occupancy. While the film recorded about 35% occupancy on its opening day and Friday, it jumped to 53% on Saturday and further improved to 57% on Sunday across 1,791 shows.

By the end of Day 3, Youth had already crossed Rs 11 crore net at the Indian box office, signalling a positive word-of-mouth boost that appears to be translating into stronger weekend numbers.

An excerpt from CE's review of the film reads, "While GV Prakash Kumar’s score and songs were on point and did exactly what was required, the film did have one song too many. It felt like an easy way out rather than allowing the scenes to explore the emotions of the various characters."

Youth also stars Devadarshini; Suraj Venjaramoodu; Anishma Anilkumar of Sirai fame; Priyanshi Yadav; and Meenakshi Dinesh, among others. The film's technical team also includes cinematographer Viki and editor Nash. The film is produced by Karuppiah C Ram and Sulochana Kumar under their banners Paarvathaa Entertainments and Street Boy Studios, respectively.
