Director-actor Ken Karunas's film Youth has opened in theatres to positive reviews from critics and audiences. The film is gaining decent earnings at the box office, despite strong competition from Dhurandhar: The Revenge. Meanwhile, Ken's mother Grace Karunas has posted a heartfelt note, reflecting on his filmmaking journey and the positive reports for Youth.

"A truly proud and emotional moment for me as a mother. From watching my son dream, work hard, and never give up, to now seeing him shine on the big screen as a hero and director and receiving so much love for it my heart is filled with happiness and gratitude. Every bit of this success is a reflection of his dedication, passion, and belief in himself," Grace wrote.

Grace also expressed her gratitude to those who worked with Ken to make his filmmaking ambitions a reality.

"At the same time, this journey would not have been possible without the incredible team who stood by him and brought this vision to life. Heartfelt thanks to each and every one of you for your support, effort, and belief."

She ended her note wishing success for her son in the future as well. "Wishing my son many more milestones and continued success ahead. Feel blessed today and always. Praise be to God," she signed off.

The Youth director noticed his mother's post on Instagram and left a comment. "Amma !! Ellathukume thanks amma (Thank you for everything, mother). HAPPY THAT I MADE YOU PROUD," he wrote.

Grace's note comes not long after Ken revealed that the audience's appreciation for his film made his father, actor Karunas, emotional.

While Ken has multiple credits to him as an actor, including Asuran, directed by Vetri Maaran and co-starring Dhanush, Youth marked his debut as a lead actor.
