Director Raju Murugan's latest film My Lord, headlined by Sasikumar and Chaithra Achar has premiered on OTT platform Prime Video, a month after its theatrical run.

The satire film revolves around Muthusirpi and Suseela, a couple living in Kovilpatti are wrongly declared dead by the government. Parallelly in Chennai, a key minister is in need of kidney transplantation to save her life and Muthusirpi is identified as a donor. The film deals with themes of organ trafficking, identity theft and more. Upon release in February, the film was met with positive and mixed reviews

An excerpt from our CE review of the film read, "My Lord points out how the power-hungry and influential people are all around us, and it doesn’t require someone from outside to come and exploit us. But more importantly, the film points out that the greatest need of the hour for a country like India is affordable healthcare. Almost every seemingly well-settled family in the country is one devastating illness away from bankruptcy, and through the characters of Muthusirpi and his wife Suseela (Chaithra), Raju Murugan argues that a self-sufficient and satisfied lifestyle is a bubble that is waiting to burst."

Raju Murugan is known for directing films like Cuckoo (2014) and Joker (2020). He has also served as the lyricist for the film along with Yugabharathi, Athipatti K Mariyappan, Dinesh Rajendran (Rap).

The cast of the film also includes Asha Sharath, Guru Somasundaram, Jayaprakash, Gopi Nainar, and Vasumithra.

The technical crew of My Lord includes Nirav Shah as the director of photography, Sathyaraj Natarajan as the editor, and Muni Paulraj as the art director. Jayanthi Ambethkumar is producing the film. Olympia Films had backed the film.
