At the Happy Raj pre-release event, GV Prakash spoke about his co-stars in the film, George Maryan, Abbas and Sri Gouri Priya, with admiration. The upcoming film is helmed by Maria Raja Elanchezhian.

Speaking about George Maryan, he said, "Sometimes, we say certain people are simply born for certain films. George Maryan sir is one such person. He was born for Happy Raj. A national award-winning actor watched the film, was moved to tears by his performance, and told him exactly that. After watching the film, you will feel like taking George sir home with you. I've seen George sir from his Deiva Thirumagal and Madrasapattinam days. This film will surely show his versatility."

Speaking about working with Abbas and Sri Gouri Priya, he added, “I genuinely hope this film serves as a strong comeback for Abbas sir. He is a wonderful human being. It was only after working with him that I realised he still carries a certain innocence. Working with Sri Gouri Priya was a delightful experience. She is incredibly natural as a performer and carries herself with a confidence that translates into a strong screen presence. I keep seeing her at award functions, and honestly, the only one left for her to win is the National Award, which I believe she will earn very soon. She is definitely someone who is going to make it big.”

Geetha Kailasam, Adhirchi Arun, Madurai Muthu, and Devi Mahesh round out the extended cast of the film. Backing Happy Raj is Jaivarda under the Beyond Pictures banner, with Jaikanth Suresh serving as co-producer. The technical team includes composer Justin Prabhakaran, cinematographer Madhan Christopher, editor Selva RK, production designer Kumar Gangappan, art director Ayyapan, and stunt choreographer Om Siva Prakash. The film is slated to hit theatres on March 27.
