At the Sirai success meet, the film's lead actor Vikram Prabhu opened up about his career so far and what the film's success means to him.
Vikram Prabhu had a happening in December which began with the success of Sirai and led him to another achievement. He said, "This film was released on December 25, 2025, and it went on to receive a very good response from the audience. Soon after that, when the news came that Taanakkaran had won the State Award, I had no words to express my happiness. It felt like double the joy for me."
Speaking about being a generational actor, Vikram continued, "I grew up with the identity of being the son and grandson of actors. During my school days, there were moments when that identity made me feel a little isolated. Because of that, I often tried to run away from many things. It was only when I went to the United States that I truly began to understand myself. After that, I decided to return and create my own path in cinema."
He then went back to his debut and addressed some of the failures he had faced all these years. "My first film, Kumki, became a big success. After that success, there was also a lot of pressure. But I have been trying to move past it and continue acting in good films. In this journey, there have been many criticisms and challenges. Some people praised me, while others criticised me. But I learnt to understand my path and kept moving forward," he revealed.
He then said that this success has charted a new beginning for him. "Cinema is a field where talent, timing, luck, and opportunity all come together. It also comes with many challenges. I have reached where I am today only by learning from all those experiences. Now, after this 25th film, it feels like a new beginning for me. From here on, my wish is to choose even better stories and be part of films that bring pride to Tamil cinema," he concluded.
Helmed by Suresh Rajakumari, Sirai, starring Vikram Prabhu as the lead in his 25th feature, marked the debut of LK Akshay Kumar. The cast also includes I AM Kathalan actor Anishma Anilkumar in her Tamil debut; Ananda Thambirajah; and Remya Suresh, among others.
Sirai has a story by Taanakkaran-fame Tamizh, which is based on the former police officer's real life, with the addition of fictional elements. Its technical team includes music director Justin Prabhakaran, editor Philomin Raj, and cinematographer Madhesh Manickam.
