Actor-producer Sivakarthikeyan announced that his production banner SK Productions will launch director Ammamuthu Surya in its 10th production venture.

Speaking at the success meet of the recently released Thaai Kizhavi, the banner's ninth production, Sivakarthikeyan announced that he will produce Ammamuthu Surya's film as his 10th. He said, "I am happy to launch Ammamuthu Surya as the director of SK Productions' 10th film. Thaai Kizhavi's success has encouraged me to take this project as well, so it is fitting to introduce him here. This film is in the final stages of scripting. We made Thaai Kizhavi for the family audiences, and this new film will be a youthful entertainer targeting youngsters."

It is worth noting that Ammamuthu Surya was supposed to make his debut with Happy Ending, starring actor-filmmaker RJ Balaji. With no official word on the progress of Happy Ending, the film with SK Productions could become Surya's debut.

With this announcement, Surya joins the list of debutants launched by SK Productions: Arunraja Kamaraj (Kanaa), Karthik Venugopalan (Nenjamundu Nermaiyundu Odu Raja), Cibi Chakaravarthi (Don), T Rajavel (House Mates) and Sivakumar Murugesan (Thaai Kizhavi).
