Actor-producer Sivakarthikeyan, who backed the recently released Thaai Kizhavi, starring Radikaa Sarathkumar in the lead, spoke highly of his wife, Aarthi, at the film's success meet.

In his speech, the actor said, "I still am not aware of my bank account details. My finances are taken care of diligently by my wife, Aarthi. Every time I make an expense, I ask her to give me money. Her oversight of my finances has helped me become a producer. If not for her, nothing would have been possible."

He further said that the film is a tribute to every woman who saves for a better tomorrow. "Thaai Kizhavi is a tribute to every sister, every mother and every homemaker, who, no matter what the income is, hide away and save money."

Directed by debutant Sivakumar Murugesan, the comedy drama also stars Singam Puli, Arul Doss, Munishkanth, Bala Saravanan, Muthukumar, Ilavarasu, George Maryan, and Raichal Rabecca.

Before even the release of Thaai Kizhavi, Sivakumar's sophomore, Seyon, starring Sivakarthikeyan and produced by Kamal Haasan's Raaj Kamal Films International, was announced.

The film received an overwhelmingly positive response upon its release. An excerpt from the CE review reads, “Thaai Kizhavi urges women worldwide not just to know how to amass it but also to wield it responsibly. And if the financial freedom associated with money isn’t exercised to its fullest and used to empower oneself and those around, money is just powerless paper.”

Produced by Sudhan Sundaram's Passion Studios and Sivakarthikeyan's SK Productions, the film is about Pavunuthaayi, a stern, no-nonsense and foul-mouthed old woman, who her village wants dead. This includes her own family. During one such incident, her family realises her value. The film's technical team features music composer Nivas K Prasanna, cinematographer Vivek Vijayakumar and editor San Lokesh.
