Actor Radikaa Sarathkumar's film Thaai Kizhavi has opened in theatres to positive feedback from critics and viewers. So far, it has earned 10.93 crore from theatres in India, according to the latest data from the industry tracker Sacnilk. Meanwhile, composer Santhosh Narayanan shared a positive Thaai Kizhavi review while appreciating some of the cast and crew behind it.
Taking to X, the music director wrote, "Proud of what you are achieving as a debutant director, Sivakumar Murugesan. Tamil cinema absolutely sooooo needs this space to open up and go global while entertaining our splendid audience. Wishing you the best for Thaai Kizhavi. Director Manikandan will be so proud you too." Santhosh Narayanan was referring to M Manikandan, the filmmaker known for Kaaka Muttai, under whom Sivakumar served as an assistant director.
"Only upwards from here. Wishes to the entire team," the composer added. He also showered praise on the film's lead actor Radikaa Sarathkumar. Calling her "one of the best actors in the world," he opined that Radikaa "casually aces" her elderly woman character in the film. Radikaa expressed her gratitude to Santhosh's positive take on her performance and capabilities as an actor in his Thaai Kizhavi review.
The composer also made a special note of actor-producer Sivakarthikeyan, who backed Thaai Kizhavi through his namesake banner. "With films like Maaveeran, Amaran and this back to back , you are on road to a very special journey my fellow JJCET boy," he wrote, alluding to their connection from JJ College of Engineering and Technology. "I am not a numbers guy but I feel genuinely happy that this film will be a big blockbuster," he added.
Santhosh also appreciated the film's composer Nivas K Prasanna. "Send me that murugan song man. It was so good," he asked Nivas.
