Actor Shanthnu has penned a second note on the void that his father K Bhagyaraj's demise has left in his life and expressed his words of gratitude to noted stars from the film industry who supported him at the time of immense grief.
"The film industry was once my father's world. Later, it grew into my world as well—expanding far beyond that, becoming a close-knit family and blossoming into a bond of immense warmth and respect," he began his note on his X handle, noting how his father's death felt "like a mighty banyan tree that fell before its time."
Thanking the stalwarts of the industry for embracing him, Shanthnu said that they became "the ground that steadied my faltering steps, and the hearts that beat for me before mine could shatter."
"To all of you who were there for me, who continue to stand by me, and who will always remain a part of my journey, what more can I say except offer my heartfelt gratitude? It is the only way I can find peace within myself," he wrote, concluding his note.
Director K Bhagyaraj passed away on Saturday at the age of 73 after suffering from a cardiac arrest, leaving behind a five-decade-long legacy filled with memorable hits like Suvarilladha Chiththirangal (1979), Oru Kai Osai (1980), Mouna Geethangal (1981), Andha 7 Naatkal (1981), Darling, Darling, Darling (1982), Mundhanai Mudichu (1983), Dhavani Kanavugal (1984), Chinna Veedu (1985), Enga Chinna Rasa (1987), and Avasara Police 100 (1990).
