In an exclusive conversation with CE earlier this Saturday, actor Chandini Tamilarasan made a particular observation about the late Bhagyaraj, who launched her in the film Siddhu +2, opposite his son Shanthnu. Recalling her experience working with the filmmaker, she said, "If you did something good, he would appreciate you." Actor Ajay Dhishan, who recently starred in Nooru Saami, also made a similar comment through social media earlier this Saturday.

Taking to X, Ajay penned a heartfelt tribute to the late filmmaker, who is also known for his work as an actor, a screenwriter, a producer, and a composer. He wrote, "RIP Bhagyaraj sir. Had the opportunity of meeting you for the first time during the private screening of Nooru Saami and received praises from you about my performance. I’m deeply shaken that things turned tables this unexpectedly and am at a loss of words. My deepest condolence to the family and friends of the bereaved."

It is worth noting that Ajay Dhishan is the nephew of Tamil actor and music composer Vijay Antony. He also has films such as Pookie and Maargan to his credit. Notably, Vijay Antony has starred with Bhagyaraj in 2017's Mupparimanam, where their characters make brief appearances. The 2017 film also stars Poornima Bhagyaraj, the late filmmaker's wife.

Vijay Antony served as a composer for 2009's Ninaithale Inikkum and 2010's Uthamaputhiran as well. While the 2009 film is a remake of the Malayalam hit Classmate and stars Prithviraj Sukumaran in the lead role, alongside Bhagyaraj, the other film features Dhanush, Genelia, and the late filmmaker-actor, among others.

Earlier this Saturday, Vijay Antony also paid his tribute to the legendary filmmaker, known fondly as the 'Screenplay King' of Tamil cinema. Taking to X, Vijay wrote, "RIP, dear Bhagyaraj sir. May your soul rest in eternal peace. You will always be remembered with love and respect."
