Actor Swasika, whose recent film Nooru Saami has been winning applause from critics and the audience, conveyed her gratitude to the Tamil audience in a video address.
Thanking the fans, she said, "Never in my dreams did I ever think of getting such appreciation." Breaking down mid-way while speaking, Swasika added, "The love I have been getting for a film that I have shouldered feels surreal."
She also shared that she will be very careful with her future projects. "Now this wholehearted appreciation from the Tamil audience has made them my oxygen. I will also ensure that my future projects will be in very responsible roles that will not disappoint the audience."
The film opened to generally positive reviews from critics and fans. An excerpt from the CE review reads, "Swasika wonderfully encapsulates the crushing pain of being alone and holds together the film, which superficially questions the stigma around widow remarriage."
The film, directed by Sasi, also starred Vijay Antony, Ajay Dhishan, and Shakthi.
