The makers of Vishnuu Vishal's upcoming film Gatta Kusthi 2 have unveiled the single 'Magaraasi' on Friday.

The song is about a doting father and his daughter. While the first part ends with female lead Aishwarya Lekshmi's character Keerthi giving birth to a girl, the film, based on the song, seems to have been set years after the events of the 2022 film. The child of Veera (Vishnuu Vishal) and Keerthi is a school-going child in this film, directed by Chella Ayyavu.

'Magaraasi,' composed by Sean Roldan, is sung by him along with Vijay Narain, with lyrics from Muthamil.

In addition to Aishwarya and Vishnu, the film also stars Ramya Krishnan, Yogi Babu, Karunaas, Muniskanth, Kaali Venkat, Karunakaran, Zara, and Mokksha, among others.

Gatta Kusthi 2 comprises a fresh technical team from its predecessor. Music composer Sean Roldan, Cinematographer Bhaskaran KM, editor Barath Vikraman, and art director Jayachandran S are a part of the film.

Vishnuu Vishal, who previously starred in Aaryan (2025), has Irandu Vaanam with his Ratsasan collaborator Ramkumar. The film also stars Mamitha Baiju in the lead. The film is produced by Ishari K Ganesh and Vishnu Vishal for Vels Films International and Vishnuu Vishal Studioz, respectively.

Gatta Kusthi 2 is set for a theatrical release on July 3.
