Earlier this Thursday, the cast and crew of Double Occupancy held an event expressing their gratitude to the press and media for their support for the film. Actor Samyuktha Viswanathan said that it made her quite emotional when the audience from the press show itself praised the film, while singling out particular scenes from it. Samyuktha, who played Priya in the film, appreciated the technicians who worked on it, saying they are the true "heroes" of it. "There are four characters in the film, but the camera, VFX, art and so forth are all characters on their own," the actor said.

Samyuktha Viswanathan gave "special thanks" to costume designer Sruthi Kannan. "Many people said that her costumes are also a character."

She also expressed her gratitude to director Aswin Kandasamy for the "freedom and confidence" he gave her.

"When I give him inputs, he would hear me out without any reluctance and would implement those suggestions in the film if he feels convinced about it," Samyuktha said about her Double Occupancy director.

She also thanked Khushbu Sundar, who produced the film under her Avni Movies banner alongside ACS Arun Kumar of Benzz Media. The actor said that she had done "an excellent scene" with Khushbu that was edited out of the film. "I feel regret for it," Samyuktha said about the deleted scene from Double Occupancy.

Samyuktha also said that her co-stars in the film are no longer her co-actors but rather her friends after working on the film. The actor thanked Reshma Venkatesh for the support she has shown from the production of the film to the promotions for it. She appreciated Santhosh's boldness to do the kind of character that he did in the film. "Props to you for doing that, and thank you for being a really good co-actor," she said about Santhosh.

She also appreciated Vinoth Kishan for being an energetic presence on the set and said that he is "going to be a romantic hero" after Double Occupancy.
