Producer Deepan Boopathy recently took to social media to reveal his marriage to entrepreneur Nivedhitha Giri. The producer who has backed the Vijay Sethupathi-starrer Puriyatha Puthir (2017), got married in New South Wales, Australia.

Deepan won the Second Best Film award at the Tamil Nadu State Film Awards for producing Puriyatha Puthir (2017). Meanwhile, Deepan's wife is an Australia-based entrepreneur and tattoo artist. Their wedding ceremony was attended by close friends and family.

The film Puriyatha Puthir (2017) follows a man who starts receiving damaging photos of his girlfriend and has to unravel the conspiracy behind the blackmail. Apart from Vijay Sethupathi, the film also stars Gayathrie Shankar, Mahima Nambiar, Arjunan, and Ramesh Thilak, among others.

Deepan has also worked as a line producer on Idli Kadai (2025), which was written, directed, and headlined by Dhanush. He has also worked on Sudha Kongara's period drama Parasakthi. Starring Sivakarthikeyan, Atharvaa, Sreeleela, and Ravi Mohan, among others, the film was set in the anti-Hindi agitations of the 1960s.
