Arjun is enjoying much success following the release of Blast and the positive reviews for it. However, the actor has had his fair share of struggles in the industry. As part of the promotions for Blast, he revealed a shocking incident that happened to him while he was a child actor. Speaking to SS Music, the actor said that a director asked him to cry following the passing of one of the child characters in the film. "The right emotion was not coming to me. The children beside me were making jokes, and I started laughing. Director saw me doing that, approached me and hit me with much force."
Arjun added that his eyes went red and tears came rolling down after the director hit him, and that he even felt like giving it back to the filmmaker. "I controlled all of that, and then he said, 'Now, it is correct, as tears are coming from his eyes. Take the shot now,'" he shared.
What made it worse for the actor is that the traumatic incident happened on the first day of his shoot. He was 17 years old at the time. "I did not know acting. I was just a trained fighter who learnt martial arts, swimming, horse riding, etc., to become a police officer. Then, I became police in cinema," Arjun revealed. However, the actor did not mention the name of the director in question or the film for that matter.
The actor also said that he received pretty rough treatment during his initial years as an actor, despite his family's film background.
