Ahead of their film's release, the makers of Nooru Saami, starring Vijay Antony and Swaswika in the lead roles, revealed that censorship formalities for the film have been completed. The Censor Board has given it a U/A 13+ rating. In the announcement caption, the makers wrote, "(U)nfiltered and (A)uthentic - A story made for families packed with peak emotions!"

Written and directed by Sasi, Nooru Saami also stars Ajay Dhishan, Lijomol Jose, Karunas, Sakthi, and Kavya Anil in important roles. The film brings Sasi and Vijay Antony back together after their collaboration on 2016's Pichaikkaran. Notably, the title is inspired by that of the Pichaikkaran song, 'Nooru Samigal'.

The film's supporting cast includes Balaji Sakthivel, Aruldoss, Munishkanth, Padini Kumar, Jenson Dhivakar, Bucks, Vinodhini, Thamarai, Kodangi Vadivelu, Muthualagi, Saratha, Sabitha Roy, Abinaya, Moorthy, and Subramania Siva.

On the technical front, the film has cinematographer SB Darshan Kirlosh, composer Balaji Sriram, editor Harish Yuvaraj, and art director V Sasi Kumar. Besides starring in the film, Vijay Antony also serves as its producer. The actor's late daughter Meera is credited as its presenter.

The story is set in a village where people follow rigid religious conventions. Swasika plays a woman whom the villagers find shameful for her actions, and Vijay Antony stars as a character with a close connection to her.

Nooru Saami is scheduled for a June 19 release in theatres in both Tamil (with the same title) and Telugu (with the title Vanda Devullu). Sasi's other film, Nooru Kodi Vaanavil, has been in limbo for a long time, despite completing shoot and releasing a teaser four years ago. On the other hand, Vijay Antony's upcoming projects include Lawyer, with Gentlewoman director Joshua Sethuraman.
