With just a few weeks left until the release of Suriya's Vishwanath And Sons, director Venky Atluri has begun promoting the romantic family entertainer, expressing strong confidence in its emotionally driven script. The Lucky Baskhar director also revealed that some of the film's most valuable feedback came from Suriya's wife and acclaimed actor Jyotika.

In a recent interview with Behindwoods, he was probed about Jyotika's thoughts and suggestions on the film's script. To this, Venky Atluri recollected the time when she was one of the first few people to hear a narration on the story of Vishwanath & Sons. "She loved the subject, especially the first half. She was very happy and shared a few valuable suggestions. I narrated the script to many people, but the feedback I received from Jyotika ma'am was particularly helpful. I'll reveal the specific change she suggested after the film releases," he said.

Vishwanath & Sons tells the story of Suriya as Sanjay Vishwanath (a take on his character from Ghajini), an ace pistol shooter in his 40s, holding fort to retain his agility and focus. When Maddy (Mamitha Baiju), a young woman in her 20s arrives into his life, all hell breaks loose. Maddy falls head over heels in love with Sanjay despite his pushback, citing their age gap. The film is expected to revolve around their love story and how it changes their lives.

Besides Suriya and Mamitha Biju, the film also stars Radikaa Sarathkumar, Raveena Tandon, Nasser, Sudha, Raghu Babu, Sunil Reddy, Bhavani Sri, Viva Harsha, Kaali Venkat, George Maryan, Hyper Aadhi, Srija Ravi, Sarvadaman Banerjee, Mathew Varghese, Kalyani Natarajan, Karate Karthik, and Master Charvik. The film marks Venky Atluri's comeback to Tamil cinema after Dhanush's Vaathi released in 2023. It was simultaneously shot in Tamil and Telugu.

Naga Vamsi is backing the film under Sithara Entertainments banner along with Sai Soujanya who has also produced it under Fortune Four Cinemas. It is presented by Srikara Studios. GV Prakash is composing music, Nimish Ravi is the cinematographer, and Navin Nooli is the editor. Vishwanath & Sons is slated for an August 14 release in theatres worldwide.
