Jyotika hits back at critic alleging CJP paid her for supporting student protest

Here is what Jyotika said in response to some of the negative comments under her post supporting student protests against NEET paper leaks

Cinema Express Desk

Earlier this Saturday, we reported about actor Jyotika supporting students who have been protesting against NEET paper leaks and asking for the resignation of union education minister Dharmendra Pradhan before he eventually made the decision to step up down. "Step down Dharmendra Pradhan. Resign. I stand with the students and the future of our nation. I stand with accountability. I stand for a democratic India. I stand for a reformed education," Jyotika shared.

Soon afterwards, the actor received much flak for her comments against the union government. She has not hesitated to hit back at the negative comments either. One user alleged that the actor was supporting students who vandalised government property and told her not to politicise the issue. In response, the actor rhetorically said, "What about government damaging student heads n body?"

A different user expressed their disappointment for Jyotika speaking about South Indian cinema in a negative light. "I love south. It's my home. Pls do see posts of me praising it also. Don't choose negativity," the actor politely responded to the user.

And another user wrote, "Looks like the toolkit activated, all the celebrities woke up today to speak in support of CJP not the actual NEET problem." This has been one of the common sentiments of those who criticise the Cockroach Janta Party: that they are hijacking a student movement for a political endgame with multiple goals that they say are unrelated to student protests, including the resignation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Dismissing the user's comment, the actor shared, "Oooohhh tookit! Fancy. I thought I wrote I support students. Let me check."

On the work front, Jyotika was most recently seen in the Prime Video film System, co-starring Sonakshi Sinha, another actor who has been actively supporting the protests.
