The makers of DC, Arun Mathesawaran's next directorial venture, have released the film's full album. Anirudh is composing music for the film which is set to release on August 7.
The release of the album was accompanied by a release event titledd DC Rave, which saw Anirudh, Lokesh Kanagaraj, and Wamiqa Gabbi, among others, in attendance. Singers like Vishal Mishra, Ashwin Kumar, and Shivapriya have rendered songs for the album.
DC will mark the full fledged acting debut of director Lokesh Kanagaraj, who has made cameo appearances in multiple films, most recently in Jana Nayagan. He will portray Deva alongside Wamiqa, who will portray Chandra, and Sanjana Krishnamoorthy, who will play Parvathi, in this adaptation of Devdas.
The trailer for DC was unveiled at the India Pavillion of the Cannes Film Festival 2026. Music from the trailer, 'Raga of Revenge', was released simultaneously, and received positive acclaim from listeners.
