Joining the film personalities voicing their support for the anti-NEET protesters at Jantar Mantar, New Delhi, is director Arun Matheswaran. The Captain Miller (2024) maker took to social media to voice his support.
"Standing with CJP students. Your voices matter. Your right to protest matters. We see you. We hear you. When students rise, democracy rises. Full solidarity with CJP students fighting for our rights. Instead of conversation, they’re met with brutality and lathis. Thats not how democracy works," wrote Arun.
The protests at Jantar Mantar heightened on Sunday, with lathi charges and tear gas from the police being executed on protesters.
Earlier today actor-politician Kamal Haasan, actor Madhavan, director Mari Selvaraj, Pradeep Ranganathan, along with personalities from other Indian film industries like Naslen, Nazriya, Mohanlal, Tovino Thomas, Salman Khan and more, joined in on voicing their support to the protesters.
