Madhavan-starrer Run's rerelease date confirmed

Madhavan's Run, which was directed by N Lingusamy, was earlier set to rerelease on April 24 but was postponed

The Madhavan headlined 2002 drama film, Run, is all set to return to theatres on July 10. Written and directed N Lingusamy, the film also stars Meera Jasmine in the lead.

The film, which Madhavan earlier described as a gamechanger for his career, follows Shiva (Madhavan) who tries to woo Priya (Meera Jasmine), who warns Shiva to not pursue her. Shiva realises that Priya's brother is a gangster, which puts him in danger. The rest of the film follows the various obstacles placed before Shiva and Priya in their quest to be together.

The cast of Run also includes Vivek, Raghuvaran, Atul Kulkarni, Anu Hasan, Janaki Sabesh, SN Lakshmi, among others.

Vidyasagar composed music for Run. Tracks like 'Kaadhal Pisase' and 'Ichutha Ichutha' were widely received.

Jeeva, who handled cinematography for Run, went on to remake the film in Hindi with Abhishek Bachchan and Bhumika Chawla in the lead. AM Rathnam produced the film under his Sri Surya Movies banner.
