The acting debut of Lokesh Kanagaraj, DC, directed by Arun Matheswaran, will get a theatrical release on July 31. The film stars Wamiqa Gabbi as the female lead. The cast of the film also includes Sanjana Krishnamoorthy and Avinash Raghudevan.

DC marks Arun's fourth directorial after Rocky (2021), Saani Kaayidham (2022), and Captain Miller (2024). Lokesh Kanagaraj, who last made the Rajinikanth-starrer Coolie, will next direct Allu Arjun's tentatively titled AA23. Gabbi previously starred in Pati Patni Aur Woh Do, opposite Ayushmann Khurrana, Sara Ali Khan, and Rakul Preet Singh. In addition to DC, she also has Tiki Taka and Kuki Ki Kundli, among others.
