Mankatha re-release box office Day 5: Ajith Kumar's heist thriller crosses the Rs 10 crore mark

The re-release of Venkat Prabhu's Mankatha, which stars Ajith Kumar in the lead, has benifitted from a strong opening followed by the holiday crowd of the long weekend

Mankatha re-release box office Day 5: The Ajith Kumar headlined heist thriller, Mankatha, has crossed the Rs 10 crore mark at the Indian box office after 5 days at the theatres. The film, which is directed by Venkat Prabhu, was re-released after 15 years on January 23.

According to box office tracker, Sacnilk, Mankatha collected Rs 32 lakhs on its fifth day of its theatrical run, at the Indian box office. While it is a dip in collections from its previous day to day box office collections, a small milestone was crossed on day 5.

Mankatha opened strongly with Rs 3.5 crores, and went on to collect Rs 2.35 crores on day 2 and Rs 2.45 on day 3. On day 4, which was Monday, January 26, it collected Rs 1.6 crores, benefitting from the holiday crowd.

With this the film has collected Rs 10.22 crores at the Indian box office. At the worldwide box office the film has collected Rs 13.36 crores, as of day 5.

Mankatha was released in 2011 and also starred Arjun, Trisha, Vaibhav, Anjali, Premgi, Raai Laxmi, Ashwin Kakumanu, Mahat Raghavendra, Subbu Panchu, Andrea Jeremiah, and Jayaprakash, among others.
