Actor-director Dhanush, along with his sons Linga and Yatra, offered prayers at the Sri Venkateswara Swamy Temple at Tirupati on Wednesday. A video clip of the actor and his sons visiting the temple and later being mobbed by fans has now been shared widely on social media. The actor was visibly uncomfortable as he navigated the crowd who were eager to meet and click photos with him. He later posed for photos for the media outside the temple following which he was escorted outside by his guards.
On the work front, the actor was last seen in his directorial, Idli Kadai, which released last year. He starred alongside Nithya Menen, Shalini Pandey, Arun Vijay, Sathyaraj and others in the rural drama which was received with mixed reviews at the box office.
Up next, he has many films lined up in his kitty including Kara with Por Thozhil director Vignesh Raja. The film, which marks Dhanush's 54th film, will see him playing the role of Karasaami, a cotton farmer, who seeks to reap the product of the seeds he planted, good or bad. But before he can do that, he seeks to wash away his sins. What follows is a fight against various heavily backed antagonists. The cast of Kara also includes Mamitha Baiju, KS Ravikumar, Karunaas, Jayaram, Prithvi Pandiarajan, Suraj Venjaramoodu, MS Bhaskar, and Sreeja Ravi, among others.
