Mankatha re-release box office Day 2: Venkat Prabhu's heist drama, Mankatha, opened well and continued its theatrical run in a strong manner. The Ajith Kumar headliner, opened in theatres again on January 23.

According to Sacnilk, the film has collected Rs 1.67 crores at the India box office, at the end of Day 2. The box office tracker also reported that the film has collected Rs 1.87 crores worldwide. Mankatha opened alongside films like Draupathi 2, Hot Spot 2 Much, and Border 2, among others.

Mankatha was released in 2011, and was Venkat Prabhu's fourth film as a director. Cloud Nine Movies produced the film with Sun Pictures distributing it.

The cast of Mankatha also includes Arjun, Trisha, Vaibhav, Anjali, Premgi, Raai Laxmi, Ashwin Kakumanu, Mahat Raghavendra, Subbu Panchu, Andrea Jeremiah, and Jayaprakash, among others.

It was well received for its story and acting. Yuvan Shankar Raja's soundtrack and score for the film was well received, with tracks like 'Vilayaadu Mankatha' and 'Machi Open The Bottle' becoming chartbusters.
