The makers of actor Kishore's upcoming film Mellisai have dropped the first single titled 'Muthal Mottu' on Friday.

The motivational number that encourages people to follow their passion is composed by Shankar Rangarajan, penned by Dhirav, and sung by Vijay Prakash.

The film marks the third film of Dhirav, who made his directorial debut in Veppam Kulir Mazhai (2024) and his sophomore Dopamine @2.22 in 2025. Kishore was last seen in Indian Penal Law (IPL), directed by Karunanithi.

With Subatra Robert, known for her roles in Pariyerum Perumal, Jai Bhim, and Bommai Nayagi, as the female lead, the film's ensemble cast includes George Mariyan, Harish Uthaman, Jaswant Manikandan, Dhananya, Proactive Prabakar, Samson, Kannan Bharati, and others.

The makers say that the film will take place in two parallel timelines centered around the bond between a father and daughter, promising "a deeply emotional and poetic" experience. The film is also expected to revolve around the themes of love, ambition, failure, and success.

The rest of Mellisai's technical team consists of cinematographer Devaraj Pugazhendi, stunts by Stunner Sam, and art direction by Deevan Paul and Prem. Dhirav, like in his previous films, will also be penning the lyrics in the movie. He is also producing the film under the Hashtag FDFS banner.
