Urvashi played a key supporting role alongside Kamal Haasan in 2002's black comedy Panchatanthiram, directed by KS Ravikumar. The film is equally memorable for someone else. The other day, on Pongal Day, Urvashi's daughter Tejalakshmi, who is set to make her acting debut soon, took to social media to share a sweet incident from her childhood with Kamal. Reminiscing about the stories she has heard about her time on the film's locations, the actor wrote, "I’m told I wasn’t a cranky child most of the time, but on the days I was, Kamal sir would carry me around the sets and feed me my favourite snack so I wouldn’t cry."

Tejalakshmi also recalled a moment from last year's SIIMA Awards ceremony where she felt nervous about meeting Kamal, as her mother went on to the stage to collect an award. The actor said that she was in tears as she could not meet Kamal on the day of the award function. "I couldn’t do anything, couldn’t even say hi to him, he was right here, I just kept staring, I regret it so much. I was scared," she wrote.

Urvashi consoled Tejalakshmi and promised that she would take her to Kamal one day and has lived up to the promise. "From that moment on, all I did was pray every single day that I’d get to meet him soon, that ‘that someday’ would come very soon. That day finally came!! I couldn’t be more excited and grateful," the actor wrote.

While the meeting was brief, she said that it meant a lot to her. "Ten minutes felt like ten years," she wrote, describing her experience. "It meant everything to me. I felt every emotion possible, and more than anything, I felt deeply grateful. Life really has a beautiful way of completing circles when the time is right, and in moments like these I’m reminded why I’ll always be grateful for this life," the actor shared before wishing everyone a Happy Pongal.

In the comments section, Tejalakshmi's actor father Manoj K Jayan wished her luck for everything she wants to achieve in life going forward.

Speaking of which, as reported earlier, Tejalakshmi is set to make her debut with Sundariyayaval Stella, which hails from writer-director Binu Peter. She is also set to share the screen with her legendary actor mother in a film titled Paablo Paarty, directed by Arathi Gayathri Devi.
