Sivakarthikeyan and Sudha Kongara’s Parasakthi continued its theatrical run on its first Tuesday with a decline in collections at the box office. As per early estimates from Sacnilk.com, the period drama earned around Rs 2.40 crore in India net on Day 4, taking its total domestic collection to approximately ₹28 crore.

The film had a strong start over the opening weekend, collecting Rs 12.5 crore on its first day, followed by Rs 10.10 crore on Sunday, which marked a 19.20 per cent drop. Collections saw a sharper decline on Monday, with the film earning Rs 3 crore. Tuesday’s numbers indicate a relatively smaller dip compared to Day 3, suggesting some stability on weekdays.

In terms of occupancy, Parasakthi registered its strongest performance in Tamil Nadu centres. Chennai recorded an overall occupancy of 28.25 per cent across 540 shows, with night shows peaking at 37 per cent. Trichy also showed healthy traction at 28.25 per cent overall, while Pondicherry emerged as one of the best-performing regions with 38.75 per cent occupancy, including a notable 60 per cent during night shows. Vellore, Dindigul, Madurai and Salem reported occupancies ranging between 20 and 25 per cent.

Outside Tamil Nadu, the film continued to struggle. Bengaluru recorded an overall occupancy of 7.75 per cent despite a high show count, while Mumbai stood at 12.75 per cent. The National Capital Region reported a modest 9.67 per cent occupancy. Kerala centres, including Kochi and Trivandrum, remained particularly weak, registering single-digit figures.

Parasakthi’s weekday slowdown follows mixed reviews for the film, with praise directed at the performances but criticism aimed at the screenplay. The film had also faced hurdles ahead of release after receiving 25 cuts from the censor board and securing certification only a day before it hit screens.

The film stars Sivakarthikeyan in the lead and marks Sreeleela’s Tamil debut. Ravi Mohan plays the antagonist, with Atharvaa appearing in a key role. The supporting cast includes Kulappulli Leela, Prakash Belawadi, Dev Ramnath, Prithvi Rajan, Guru Somasundaram and Chetan, along with cameo appearances by Rana Daggubati and Basil Joseph.

Parasakthi is directed by Sudha Kongara, who has co-written the film with Arjun Nadesan, with an additional screenplay by Ganeshaa and dialogues by Madhan Karky and Shan Karuppusamy. GV Prakash has composed the music, Ravi K Chandran has handled cinematography and Sathish Surya has edited the film. Produced by Aakash Baskaran under the Dawn Pictures banner, the film is distributed by Red Giant Movies.
