Maayabimbum trailer: Crime interferes with romance in this 2005 love story

Maayabimbum is directed by KJ Surendar and is set to release on January 23

The makers of Maayabimbum have released the trailer for the film. The crime drama is set to release theatrically on January 23.

KJ Surendar has written, directed, and produced Maayabimbum. The director produces the film under his Self Start Studios banner. Speaking about the film to IANS, the director said, "The spark for Maayabimbum came from a real-life incident. We developed that core idea into a complete feature film."

The cast for the film includes Janaki, Aakash, Hari Rudran, Rajesh, Arun Kumar.

Nandha composes music for the film. Previously two singles from the film, 'Yennakullae' and 'Deppo' was released.

The crew for the film also includes Edwin Sakay as the director of photography, Vinoth Sivakumar as the editor, and Martin as the art director.

The story of the film is said to revolve around a medical student and a nurse, who works at a health centre. Maayabimbum was filmed in multiple locations in Tamil Nadu, including Cuddalore, Chidambaram, Pudukkottai and Thanjavur.
