Arun Vijay to join hands with director M Muthaiya for his next

Arun Vijay, last seen in Retta Thalai, made the announcement to the press recently at Tirupati

While speaking with the press at Tirupati on Tuesday, actor Arun Vijay, who was last seen in Retta Thala, opened up about his next project. He revealed that he would be joining hands with director M Muthaiya for his next. He also said that the shooting for the project will begin soon and that an official announcement is to follow.

Muthaiya, who made his debut with Kutti Puli in 2013, is known for films like Devarattam, Maruthu and Pulikkuthi Pandi. His last directorial was Arulnithi's Rambo, which had a direct OTT premiere on Sun NXT last year and opened to underwhelming reviews. This film will mark the director's first collaboration with Arun Vijay.

Arun Vijay had three releases last year. He started the year with the Bala directorial Vanangaan, which opened in theatres for Pongal to unfavourable reviews. Further, he was seen in the Dhanush directorial, Idli Kadai, as the antagonist. He ended the year with the release of Kris Thirukumaran's Retta Thala, which was released for Christmas.

In the pipeline, Arun Vijay also has Vaa Deal, Borrderr, and Agni Siragugal awaiting release.
