Jana Nayagan's release officially postponed

As the news of postponement release of Vijay's Jana Nayagan, in overseas territories grew, CE earlier confirmed that the film was set to be postponed in India too

Earlier CE reported that the release of Jana Nayagan, will be postponed. Now, KVN Productions, the producers of the film, took to social media to announce that the film will not release on January 9.

Taking to their X handle, the production house announced, "It is with a heavy heart that we share this update with our valued stakeholders and audiences. The release of Jana Nayagan, eagerly awaited on January 9, has been postponed due to unavoidable circumstances beyond our control."

They further wrote, "We deeply understand the anticipation, excitement, and emotions surrounding this film, and this decision has not been an easy one for any of us. The new release date will be announced at the earliest. Until then, we humbly request your patience and continued love. Your unwavering support is our greatest strength and means everything to the entire Jana Nayagan team."

The postponement comes after the Madras High Court hearing, which was held after an appeal was filed by Jana Nayagan's producer, KVN Productions, challenging the CBFC's move to review the film's certification.
