In a first since the inception of Bigg Boss Tamil, Vijay Sethupathi has given two red cards to season 9 contestants VJ Paaru and Kamarudin for their violent and disrespectful conduct on the show. The recently-released promo from Vijay Television shows the host and actor pulling up the duo for their behaviour on the show and gave them red cards, signalling instant eviction from the Bigg Boss house.

The issue began during the 'Ticket to Finale' task which began this week where a series of games would be introduced to contestants inorder to gain maximum points and climb up on the leaderboard. One of the tasks involved the nine contestants - Sandra, Vikkals Vikram, Divya Ganesh, Aurora Sinclair, Subiksha, Gana Vinoth, Sabari, VJ Paaru and Kamarudin - getting inside a car and staying awake through the night without leaving the vehicle to secure top scores.

Since Vikram couldn't fit inside the vehicle, he left the car first. After a while, a heated conversation erupted between Sandra, Kamarudin and VJ Paaru ensued where they pulled down each other in terms of their behaviour on the show. The contestants also resorted to swearing each other. Soon, the issue escalated with VJ Paaru, along with Kamarudin opening the vehicle's door and kicking Sandra out of the car. The latter fell from the car and the emotional shock resulted in her getting seizures. Upon seeing this, Sabari and Gana Vinoth left the car to help Sandra get immediate medical attention.

Visuals from the show quickly began circulating on social media with many criticising VJ Paaru and Kamarudin's violent unethical behaviour on the show and during the task.

Confronting the duo, Vijay Sethupathi expressed his anger on their actions and probed them if their parents and siblings would be happy witnessing them using disrespectful words, resorting to violence and drastic measures in the game. He later pulled two red cards from his pocket and showed it to them, asking them to leave the show.

Launched on October 5, Bigg Boss Tamil season 9 is being aired on Star Vijay. The finale is expected to take place on January 11.
