Earlier this Friday, we reported about Vivek Oberoi being cast in director Sandeep Reddy Vanga's film Spirit. Time is ripe to bring to your mind the time when Vivek praised Sandeep. Speaking to Mirchi Plus recently, the actor said that whether you love Sandeep or hate him, he has a certain type of commitment to his craft that deserves appreciation. He also shared an 'inspirational' story involving him and Sandeep.

Once, Vivek was in Hyderabad for a film's shoot and happened to meet Sandeep, whose work he admired. "I called him and told him that I loved his work in Arjun Reddy. 'You did a great job on the film. Had so much fun watching it,'" he told Sandeep.

Subsequently, Sandeep told Vivek Oberoi that he is also an admirer of the actor's work and would like to meet the latter. "He came to my hotel. We had dinner together. We met at 9 and kept talking to each other till 4 in the morning. His passion is infectious, electrifying, and he has a different level of energy."

Sandeep told Vivek that production on Arjun Reddy was stopped at one point, forcing the filmmaker's family to sell their ancestral land so that he could finish the film. "He told me that he would die if he could not complete the film and that he had to do the film, no matter what," Vivek said. The actor also praised Sandeep's single-minded dedication to take such a big risk and earn "ten times" more from the film as compared to what he invested in it through his family.

He also appreciated Sandeep's filmmaking sense and sensibilities. "The way he sees characters and things are so unique and so authentic," Vivek added.
