Namitha to play a cameo role in VJ Siddhu's Dayangaram

It is well known that YouTuber-turned-filmmaker VJ Siddhu’s maiden feature Dayangaram is currently filming in full swing. While Siddhu and Natty Nataraj play the lead role, not many details are known regarding the other cast members or the plot. However, at a recent event, VJ Siddhu had revealed that actor-politician Namitha will be making a cameo appearance in the upcoming film.

VJ Siddhu also went on to share the cast and crew's excitement on set when she stepped in for shooting recently. With Dayangaram, Namitha will be making her return to the big screen after a long gap. The actor, who is popular for her roles in Engal Anna (2004), Aei (2004), Chanakya (2005), Bambarakkannale (2005), Kovai Brothers (2006), Pachchak Kuthira (2006), Viyabari (2007), Naan Avan Illai (2007), and Billa (2007), among others, was last seen in the 2019 horror film Pottu. She has been active in the political space since 2016 and is currently one of the state executive members of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Tamil Nadu.

Siddhu, who not only directs Dayangaram but also plays the lead, is backed by a strong technical crew. The music is composed by Siddhu Kumar, with Dinesh Krishnan handling cinematography. Pradeep E Ragav is in charge of editing, while the film’s production design is helmed by Vinoth Raj Kumar. The film's first schedule was wrapped in November 2025.

Ishari Ganesh is producing the film under the Vels Film International banner. Previously, the producer revealed that the film will be based on VJ Siddhu's life story.
