Ivana to star as female lead in M Rajesh-Jiiva's Jolliya Iruntha Oruthan

Jolliya Iruntha Oruthan marks M Rajesh's reunion with Jiiva 16 years after Siva Manasula Sakthi

On Wednesday, on the occasion of Ivana's birthday, the makers of the upcoming M Rajesh directorial Jolliya Iruntha Oruthan released a birthday poster for Ivana, thereby announcing her as the film's female lead. The film marks M Rajesh's reunion with Jiiva, 16 years after Siva Manasula Sakthi.

The upcoming film will be backed by Dato Abdul Malik under the Malik Streams Corporation. More details about the film’s extended cast and plot are to be announced soon by the makers. The makers previously announced that the film's shoot is currently in progress. On the technical front, Jolliya Iruntha Oruthan also has cinematographer M Sukumar and editor Ashish Joseph joining Yuvan Shankar Raja.

Recently, Jiiva revealed that the film's producer plans to release it this summer. The actor also revealed that Siva Manasula Sakthi will have a rerelease as part of promotions for Jolliya Iruntha Oruthan and that his upcoming film's trailer will be out soon.

Jiiva can now be seen in theatres in Thalaivar Thambi Thalaimaiyil, directed by Nithish Sahadev of Falimy fame. For his 46th film, Jiiva recently reunited with Black director KG Balasubramani. On the other hand, M Rajesh's last feature film as a director is 2024's Brother, starring Ravi Mohan, Natty, Priyanka Mohan, and Bhumika Chawla. Ivana was last seen in Single alongside Sree Vishnu and Ketika Sharma.
