Red Giant Movies took to social media to announce their next project, which will be revealed at 7:12 pm, today. Speculations are rife that the upcoming announcement is for the film, which will reunite Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan on screen.

The production house release a poster in Tamil and English, which is a minimalist representation of two stars set to collide. The poster also featured the line- "When the stars align, you don't choose sides".

While the production house hasn't revealed any further details, this will be their 17th venture.

Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan were reported to be collaborating on two films. One starring Rajinikanth and backed by Kamal Haasan, the other starring both actors together.

Kamal's banner, Raaj Kamal Films International announced that they will be backing Rajinikanth's 173rd film, with the director of Don (2023), Cibi Chakravarthy directing, and Anirudh composing the music.

Rajinikanth is currently working on Jailer 2, the sequel to his 2023 film, which is directed by Nelson. The director is also rumoured to be directing the upcoming film.
