Actor Sarath Kumar recently opened up about how social media reflects the impact of oversharing. The actor spoke to CE ahead of the release of Aazhi, helmed by Madhav Ramadasan. The film also stars Devika Satheesh and Indrajith Jagan.

In an exclusive interview, actor Sarath Kumar said, ‘’There was a time when social media didn’t exist, and what we did stayed with us. Today, it has become a trend, but I often wonder if it’s truly necessary. If I post a photo from a holiday in London, I can’t help but question the motive: Why are we uploading this? Are people feeling nostalgic? Are they saddened because they can’t be there, or do they simply think that I’m showing it off? While the actors have other platforms for movie promotions, like interviews, I feel that's enough. We have to consider the cost of our privacy. I second the statement that we must seriously think about the extent to which we open our private lives to the public."

During that same interview, when he was asked about the experience in 'Adikura Kai Anaikuma' song, he shared, ''It was K S Ravikumar’s idea for Natpukkaga (1998). They shot that punching scene because the heroine admired my character's masculinity in that moment.'' The actor further remarked that only his films ''have weird scenes like bench presses and push-ups holding Simran in place of weights.''

Aazhi features a supporting cast, including Sreejith Ravi, Vaiyapuri, Mythili Sathyaraj, Binish Babu, Birla Bose, Sarjin Kumar, Thamarai Selvi, Biju Mavunkal Varghese, and Teena Bhatia. Produced by Sajith Krishna under the banners of 888 productions and Celluloid Creations.

Aazhi is set for its theatrical release on February 27. Meanwhile, Sarath Kumar was last seen in Dude (2025), 3BHK (2025), and Kombuseevi (2025). In his pipeline he also has Mr X and Ezham Iravil in various stages of production.
