After their successful collaboration in Rajkumar Periasamy's Amaran, actor-politician Kamal Haasan's production banner Raaj Kamal Films International (RKFI) is set to reunite with Sivakarthikeyan in his next film, tentatively titled SK26. Kamal Haasan will produce the film along with R Mahendran, in association with Turmeric Media.

The production banner made an official announcement on its social media handle, also revealing that the film's first look will be released on Monday at 5:02 PM.

It is not yet known who the director of the film is. After Sivakarthikeyan's 25th film, Parasakthi, it was earlier believed that the actor's immediate next film would be helmed by Don director Cibi Chakravarthy, who is working on Rajinikanth's Thalaivar 173, backed by RKFI. The actor also has a film with filmmaker Venkat Prabhu in the pipeline, but it is unclear if it will be SK26. On the other hand, rumour mills also suggest that director Sivakumar Murugesan, who has directed Thaai Kizhavi, starring Radikaa Sarathkumar, will direct SK26. It is worth noting that Thaai Kizhavi, which is releasing in theatres on February 27, is produced by Sivakarthikeyan's Sivakarthikeyan Productions and Sudhan Sundaram's Passion Studios.
