Actor Vetri has completed filming for his upcoming film Buried. Directed by Haroon, the investigation thriller will see the actor essaying the character of an encounter specialist.

The makers announced the news on Friday and celebrated the occasion by cutting a cake. Buried is being produced by Haroon and Mahender Kumar under the banners of Dream House and Jain Creations. The story of the film has been written and directed by Haroon, who is known for directing Web.

Besides Vetri, the film also stars Akshitha and Chandini Tamilarasan as the female leads. Balaji Sakthivel, Singam Puli, Saravana Subbaiah, Jenson Diwakar and Kodangi Vadivelu are part of the supporting cast.

According to the makers, Buried is set to focus on the challenges an encounter specialist police officer faces due of his profession, the kind of impact it has on his family members and how he overcomes those challenges.

On the technical team, the film has music by Jhon Robins, cinematography by KV Kiran and editing by Biju V Don Bosco. Noted director Arunraja Kamaraj has sung a song in this film, which has Captain MP Anand and KSK Selvakumar as its executive producers.

Shot across places like Chennai, Coimbatore, Yercaud and Kodaikanal, the film is currently in its post-production stages and is expected to be ready for release soon.

Apart from Buried, Vetri, who was last seen in Muthal Pakkam, has many films in his kitty. It includes Lakshmikanthan Kolai Vazhakku, helmed by Dayal Padmanabhan; 4 Windows and Enter The Dragon.
