Actor Bhagyashri Borse, who, with her powerful Tamil debut performance in Kaantha, stole the show, is now speculated to join Sivakarthikeyan's upcoming film SK26, directed by Venkat Prabhu.
We had earlier reported last December that Venkat Prabhu was headed to Los Angeles to craft Sivakarthikeyan's look and the VFX of the film.
Borse, who made her debut with cameo performances in Hindi films Yaariyan 2 (2023) and Chandu Champion (2024), made her proper lead debut in the Telugu film Mr Bachchan, with her breakthrough role coming in Vijay Deverakonda's film Kingdom (2025). She was last seen in Andhra King Taluka.
While Sivakarthikeyan had earlier said his immediate next, SK26, will be with his Don collaborator Cibi Chakravarthy. The filmmaker, however, is working on Rajinikanth's next, Thalaivar 173, produced by Kamal Haasan's Raaj Kamal Films International. As the director has moved to Rajinikanth's film, Sivakarthikeyan's collaboration with Venkat Prabhu is expected to advance.
Sivakarthikeyan was last seen in the period drama Parasakthi, directed by Sudha Kongara, which also starred Sreeleela, Atharvaa and Ravi Mohan. The film, set in the 60s, was based on the anti-Hindi agitations in Tamil Nadu. Venkat Prabhu last directed Vijay's film The Greatest of All Time (GOAT), which featured Sivakarthikeyan in a cameo appearance.
