Silambarasan TR: Arasan happened at the right time

Silambarasan, who will next be seen in Arasan, was supposed to join Vetri Maaran for Vada Chennai, which later featured Dhanush

Actor Silambarasan, who recently celebrated his 42nd birthday, said that his upcoming film with Vetri Maaran, Arasan, happened at the right time.

In an interview with Ananda Vikatan, the actor revealed that he is happy that his collaboration with Vetri Maaran and Anirudh for Arasan happened at the right time. For the unversed, Silambarasan was supposed to join Vetri Maaran for Vada Chennai, which later featured Dhanush.

He also added that he wanted to work with Anirudh in a film for a long time, and he is glad that it materialised in Arasan.

Sharing details about Arasan, he said he has three looks in the film and that he has to lose and gain weight for each of the looks.

Arasan, which marks STR's 49th film, belongs to the world of Vada Chennai and will have some characters of the latter return to the former. However, it has been clarified that Dhanush's Anbu will not be a part of Arasan.

According to reports, the film, produced by Kalaipuli S Thanu of V Creations, which began shooting late last year, has completed the first schedule of filming. The film also stars Vijay Sethupathi and Tourist Family fame Yogalakshmi.
