Thalaivar Thambi Thalaimaiyil box office Day 19: The Jiiva headlined comedy, Thalaivar Thambi Thalaimaiyil, saw a sharp increase in its box office collections on Monday. The film, which was directed by Falimy fame Nithish Sahadev, was release on January 15.

On Monday, the 19th day of its theatrical run, the film collected Rs 18 lakhs at the Indian box office, according to Sacnilk. This is a increase in collections, compared to the performance in the weekend.

After 19 days in the theatres, Thalaivar Thambi Thalaimaiyil has collected Rs 28.87 crores in total, at the Indian box office.

The film features Thambi Ramaiah, Ilavarasu, Prathana Nathan, and Anuraj OB, among its cast.

CE's review of the film reads, "The best thing to happen to Thalaivar Thambi Thalaimaiyil is Jiiva understanding his role well. The caution Jeevarathinam (Jiiva) takes not to lose a single vote in the run up to the election by playing the pacifier in both households and maintaining a humble demeanour to appease both Mani (Thambi Ramaiah) and Ilavarasu (Ilavarasu) were some of the spaces the film works well. This crackpot of a plot is a work of genius and the beauty of it is that it doesn't require much brainstorming.
