Sai Abhyankkar is gearing up for a busy year, as three films that he is part of opens in theatres at various parts of the year. The film that is expected to kick it off, is Karuppu, which stars Suriya and is directed by RJ Balaji.

In July 2025, fans got a first look at the film, with the release of its teaser. Sai released the first piece of music from Karuppu, titled 'Verappa', which featured in the teaser, soon after. Another single, 'God Mode', was also released soon after. Now, the composer took to X and wrote, "Just saw the final out of K. Will be worth the wait!"

'God Mode' has lyrics by Vishnu Edavan with Gana Muthu singing along with Sai. Meanwhile, 'Verappa' features the vocals of Sai and rapper Arivu, with Arun Srinivasan writing the lyrics.

The cast of Karuppu also features Trisha, Indrans, Natty, Swasika, Sshivadha, Anagha Maya Ravi, and Supreeth Reddy, among others.

While Karuppu was set to release for the Pongal festival, its release was postponed. The makers are yet to confirm a release date.
