Mankatha re-release box office Day 9: Venkat Prabhu-Ajith Kumar thriller crosses Rs 12 crore mark

Mankatha re-release box office Day 9: The heist thriller, Mankatha, is continuing to make money as it completes one week at the theatres. The Ajith Kumar headliner, which is directed by Venkat Prabhu, has crossed the Rs 12 crore mark at the box office.

According to box office tracker Sacnilk, the film collected Rs 18 crores at the Indian box office on the ninth day of its theatrical run. While the number is down from the consistent performance throughout the week, it is an uptick from Friday (January 30), which saw the release of multiple Tamil films.

As of Day 9, Mankatha has collected Rs 12 crores at the Indian box office. Meanwhile, the film has collected Rs 15.44 crores worldwide.

Mankatha was released in 2011 and followed the story of a group of friends plotting a heist, when a corrupt cop, who is suspended for securing a criminal's life, takes over their plan. The cast of the film also consists of Arjun, Trisha, Vaibhav, Anjali, Premgi, Raai Laxmi, Ashwin Kakumanu, Mahat Raghavendra, Subbu Panchu, Andrea Jeremiah, and Jayaprakash, among others.
