Actor Kayadu Lohar is awaiting the release of her Malayalam film I'm Game, co-starring Dulquer Salmaan and directed by Nahas Hidhayath of RDX fame, and Immortal with GV Prakash. After its postponement from the Onam release slate, I'm Game is set to hit theatres on September 03, Thursday. Meanwhile, Immortal was postponed from its scheduled July release to September 04, following the release of Vijay's final film Jana Nayagan last month. Ahead of both films' release, Kayadu interacted with fans through social media recently.
During the interaction, a fan asked Kayadu Lohar who her favourite hero in Tamil cinema is, and without any hesitation, she said, "Dhanush, Dhanush, and only only Dhanush. There is no place for anyone than Dhanush." The actor said this with a big smile on her face.
Kayadu Lohar is yet to star with Dhanush in a film. Reportedly, she missed out on a role in his recently released film Kara due to scheduling conflicts. After multiple films in Malayalam and Kannada cinema, she finally had her breakout role in Tamil with last year's Dragon, co-starring Pradeep Ranganathan. Kayadu also played a supporting role in this year's Idhayam Murali, opposite Atharvaa. The actor found a place among the Tamil audience also for her appearance in the song 'Pavazha Malli' along with composer Sai Abhyankkar.
In I'm Game, judging by the trailer, Kayadu plays the Dulquer Salmaan character's mental health counsellor and love interest. That said, the makers of the film are yet to reveal the specific details about her role in the film. She has several other projects at various stages of production, including The Paradise with Nani, the long-delayed Thaaram with Nivin Pauly, the tentatively titled Suriya 48, and Manjanathi with director Mari Selvaraj.
