Actor-composer GV Prakash Kumar recently revealed that he was supposed to work with former actor and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C Joseph Vijay for a third time. The composer has composed music for Vijay-starrers like Theri (2016), which was directed by Atlee, and AL Vijay's Thalaivaa (2013).

When asked as to why he did not work with Vijay again, in an interview with SS Music, the music composer said, "The timing wasn't right. I was supposed to work on a film with Vijay sir, which was to be directed by Sudha Kongara or Vetri Maaran. But both of them mentioned that they needed a year for scripting the film, that one year gap went to Beast. "

Talking about the Sudha Kongara's proposed story for Vijay, the composer said, "It was a really great script, but unfortunately we couldn't go ahead with it. I was even supposed to work with Sudha and Mahesh Babu sir on the same script, but that couldn't move forward too."

Sudha Kongara and Vetri Maaran are regular collaborators of GV Prakash. The composer worked on Soorarai Pottru (2020) and Parasakthi (2026) with the former, and Polladhavan (2007), Aadukalam (2010), Visaranai (2011), and Asuran (2019) with the latter.
