Back in November last year, we reported that YouTuber Bhaarath has signed his third film, titled Ninja, with Murugu. Back then, the makers announced that the film will have music by GV Prakash. Now, a small rejig in casting has happened.

On Friday, actor and music composer GV Prakash announced that he will be headlining Ninja. He shared a new poster, featuring a dog once again, and wrote in the caption, "An amazing script . Will make wonders next year. #Ninja is on his way for 2027." Interestingly, as he takes on the responsibility of lead actor, he has passed the baton of composition to Sean Roldan.

While Prathana Nathan was announced as the female lead before, the makers are yet to clarify if she is still set to be the leading lady. Murugu is still attached to helm the film. The shooting for Ninja is all set to begin on August 24. More details about the film's extended cast, genre and plot are awaited.

The upcoming film is backed by Soldiers Factory and Learn and Teach Productions. KS Sinish and S Sai Devanand are the producers, while S Sai Venkateshwaran is co-producing the film. On the technical front, the film will feature camera work by Harish Kannan, editing by Ganesh Siva, and art direction by A Gopi Anand.

Last seen in Happy Raj, GV Prakash will next be seen in Immortal, slated for release on September 4. He also has a slew of projects in his pipeline as an actor, including Vekkai, Mental Manadhil, Kadhalikka Yarumillai, and Idimuzhakkam, among others. On the music front, some of the big projects in his lineup include Mandaadi and DQ41.
