Vishnu Edavan to direct Vikram's next?

Vishnu Edavan described that the story he has penned for Vikram is an action entertainer full of theatrical moments

Filmmaker Vishnu Edavan's debut film, Hi, starring Nayanthara and Kavin in the lead, is set for a theatrical release on August 28. During one of the promotional interviews for the film, he revealed that he is planning his next film with actor Vikram.

Speaking to a YouTube channel, Vishnu shared details about the talks with Vikram. He said that Vikram loved his story and he is waiting for his final official nod. Describing the film's story as an action entertainer, he added that its "vibe" will be amazing and will be full of theatrical moments. He said that now he is busy with Hi's release, and after that he will shift focus to this project.

Vikram, meanwhile, was last seen in Veera Dheera Sooran: Part – 2, directed by SU Arunkumar. He has reunited with his Irumugan helmer (2016) Anand Shankar for his 63rd film.

Vishnu Edavan, known for penning lyrics and having served as an assistant director to Lokesh Kanagaraj, is directing the film with Nayanthara and Vignesh Shivan's Rowdy Pictures banner along with SS Lalit Kumar's Seven Screen Studio banner.

The cast of Hi also includes Radikaa Sarathkumar, Prabhu, VTV Ganesh, Sathyan, Amrutha Srinivasan, Aadhithya Kadhir, Kureshi, FEFSI Vijayan, Renji Panicker, Kaviya Arivumani, and Mirchy Kemy, among others.

Jen Martin has composed music for Hi, continuing his collaboration with Kavin after Dada (2023) and Kiss (2025). The crew of Hi also includes director of photography Rajesh Shukla, editor Philomin Raj, art director Kannan S, and stunt choreographer Dinesh Kasi.
